Leo O’Donnell, former Mayor of Strathfield dies

On April 7 2011, former Mayor of Strathfield Leo O’Donnell passed away.  He was 88 years.

Leo served on Strathfield Council for five consecutive terms totalling twenty years from 1980 to 2000.  He was first elected at the ordinary council election on 20th September, 1980 and was elected Mayor in 1993 and 1994 and served as Deputy Mayor in 1987, 1989, 1990, 1992 and 1995.
