Thomas Hodson

Mayor of Enfield 1891, 1897-1902

Thomas Hodson [d.1909] was an Alderman on the first Enfield Council, representing the west ward [which is now part of Strathfield Council].  He lived at ‘Norfolk Lodge’ in Druitt Town and his occupation has been variously described as a Headmaster and ‘of independent means’.  He died at age of 79 on 11th December 1909 at Enfield and is buried St Thomas’ Anglican Church Enfield.

St Thomas’s Anglican Church Enfield contains me morials dedicated to and by the Hodson family.  A stained glass window was erected to Hodson’s widow Jane in 1895 and his daughter Ethel erected a second window in memorial to Thomas Hodson.
