‘Mycumbene’ is built on Lot 29, Section 9, Village of Homebush Estate.
An application to build a brick cottage at Lot 29 Abbotsford Road Homebush was made by D Esplin to Strathfield Council. The application was approved on January 1912. The owner was Eric Charles Greening at estimated cost of £650.00. Greening was a plumber of the firm E C Greening & Co.
Ownership of the house remained in the Greening family until at least 1945.
