75 Underwood Road is a single storey timber house.  It is built on land granted to Thomas Rose in 1810, which was subdivided as deposited plan 477.  By 1883, Lot 26, Section 24, DP 477 was transferred to Thomas Elliott, of City of Sydney, Carcase Butcher and then transferred in December 1907 to Kathleen Maud Warnock, wife of Thomas Warnock, a storeman.

The house first appears in Sands Directory in 1909 on Underwood Road for Thomas Warnock.  It is likely the house was built in 1908.  The house was originally 32 Underwood Road and was renumbered 75 Underwood Road in 1966.

Ownership transferred in October 1909 to Herbert Smith, contractor and his wife, Harriet.  Harriet Smith became the sole owner in 1910 and the house was named ‘Woodside’. Harriet Smith remarried Alfred Ernest Inglis and as Harriet Inglis she sold the house in 1935.

The house’s ownership changed a few times but by 1939, it was owned by Dulcie Irene Smith, wife of Faraday Smith of Homebush, Real Estate Agent.  In 1955, ownership transferred to Albert Wood, of Homebush, Milk Carter.  In 1976, ownership transferred to his widow Phyllis.
