Near the corner of Broughton Road and MacKenzie Street Strathfield is brick Victorian Italianate style house called ‘Oakdene’ at 86 Broughton Road Strathfield. This house was built c1888-1899 and likely designed and constructed by the 19th century architect Thomas Whittle. This house has an interesting history of ownership. Read the full history
