Alderman [1952-1969] and Mayor [1957]
William Dunlop was elected to Council at extraordinary meeting 26th July 1952 and served until 22nd June 1957 [retired due to illness of wife]. He was re-elected at ordinary election of 4th December 1965 until his death on 23rd December 1969. Dunlop owned the local business ‘Dunlops’, a haberdashery business at Strathfield Town Centre.
