Wallis Avenue Strathfield was originally named Josephson’s Road and was renamed Yarmouth Road in 1918, before being renamed Wallis Avenue in 1927. It runs from Barker Road (north) to Hume Highway (south).The street was named after Frederic Wallis, a former Mayor and Alderman of Strathfield Council.
