  1. Hi Cathy,

I’ve been observing your work on Strathfield for many months. It’s great to see there is another person apart from me who is passionate about this great place. Long Live Strathfield!

    Good Luck!

    1. Thanks for your comments. The purpose of the site is to provide information on the Strathfield district for people who lived or have lived here, visitors and students, family historians etc. I know lots of people use the site based on comments and site stats. I will generally post information (if I have information) if I get a request for information or see frequent searches looking for specific subjects. Strathfield has a very interesting history and is one of the best places in Sydney to live, study or work. Walking around the streets, especially the heritage areas, and parks makes you appreciate how nice Strathfield is.

  2. I attended school here in the late 90’s. After attending Christmas mass here in 2010 it is amazing how much it has changed. The school I used to know only exists in my memories.

    1. Most of the local schools have changed as demand is increasing with more local population. Unfortunately, there is almost no playgrounds or outdoor spaces left at St Martha’s, due to building extensions.
