SMH states ‘Strathfield is one of the best suburbs’
According to the Sydney Morning Herald today, based on total sales of above $2 million and above, the new Prestige Suburbs of Sydney are Strathfield, Balmain East, Glebe, Darlinghurst, Birchgrove, Cronulla, Sylvania Waters, Randwick, St Ives and Wahroonga.
While I think that rating a suburb as “prestigious” should be based on a range of factors eg liveability, transport, parks and open spaces, amenity etc, locals know that Strathfield is a great place to live.
‘Camden Lodge’ Land & Environment Court decision
This week the Land and Environment Court refused demolition of ‘Camden Lodge’ 102 Burlington Road Strathfield a heritage listed Federation house. The property was damaged by fire in January 2012 and the owner applied to demolish the property. The Court refused the application. The judgement is available online to read.
