Cathy thank you for that pic as it reminds me of the slightly grand houses that where behind shops and banks in the 1960s. The old car park that has been built over Strathfield Towers gave a good view of the one that can be seen in your Xmas pic. Can you tell me anything about these houses? Are shown in aerial photographs or early street photographs? You mentioned one of them in your excellent article on the ES&A/ANZ Bank article.

Scott, the house that can seen is Presteign. From memory, this was the home of William Beaumont. I’ll see if I have any other photos. Cathy
