This advertisement for Christmas at Whelan’s Strathfield Hotel, Everton Road Strathfield is from 1968. This hotel was originally built as the Family Hotel and was owned by Angelo Arditto. Arditto was a prominent resident of Strathfield and Arditto’s Lane Strathfield (runs parallel to Churchill Avenue) is named for him.
